I thought the last time I flew through PDX I took my last foot selfie with the iconic carpet, until yesterday.
With just a few days left before we launch, we feel as if were already roughing it. We’re using the Sherpa as our dining table sidled with our folding camp chairs and sleeping on the floor. The fridge is nearly empty except for some leftovers, the Worcestershire sauce, a half jar of capers, and two maraschino cherries.
These last few days we find ourselves tidying up our the rental, packing the van, and taking “last walks” through the neighborhood. Yes, we’re down to the nitty-gritty
And speaking of nitty-gritty, Hali has convinced me to get my first ever pedicure. I agreed on the condition that she maintains my little piggies from this day forward.
Hali says a bottle of champagne is appropriate, so we brought that, along with the little toe pads, brushes, and other toe tools. Like I said, we are down to the nitty-gritty.
My feet FEEL great. The calluses have been grated off like cheese. The little pokey skin around my nails pinched off. The nails clipped and filed. My feet LOOK great too.
And even though I’m very ticklish, especially my feet, it only tickled a little. Thanks to the bottle of champagne taking the edge off.
