From A Dog’s Perspective

Don’t get me wrong, I like the 4th of July. Hangin’ round the grill, I’ll get that runaway hot dog, the over-charred burger, even the stray rib bone. Fetchin’ beers from the cooler for the party guests, hey, I can do that all day long. It’s the fireworks that are too doggone annoying, especially the random rogue poppers. And I’ve got a bone to pick with those illegal, dog chasin’, ear poppin’, tail tuckin’, paw bitin’, sonic boomers.

As number one party animal, Celebrating America’s independence is right up my alley. So as the dog days of summer approach, keep it cool dudes. Please, leave the firework displays to the experts. Take a moment to remember what the red, white and blue is all about. We all need some off- leash time and FREEDOM suits my style just fine.
