Six Bucks A Pound

Six Bucks A Pound

I’m not sure if they use these to make pasties, barbecue, or race at the county fair but seems like a pretty good deal at six bucks a pound. A pound is about 250 of these things and will make a dozen pasties, feed two hungry lumberjacks, and with that many you’re bound to find a winner at the annual leech race at the county fair.

Mmm...Leech Pasties

Mmm…Leech On-A-Stick

I’ve already had Aunt Janes’ pasties, ate a pork chop and ear of corn on-a-stick at the Blueberry Festival, and will miss the county fair this weekend.

So I’ll pass…this time.

About Woody

The travel bug is contagious. I caught it in 1985 while traveling with Hali on a three month backpacking trip through Western Europe. Having a passion for geography, local history & culture, and with a journal in my back pocket, I hope to share our experiences through this blog – whether traveling the well worn rail, or off the beaten trail.
