1 Comment on BEERology?

Our visit to San Diego last week wasn’t just about beach, bikes, and beer, we also explored some cultural activities as well.

One day we steered off the beaten bike path and wandered the grounds of the historical San Diego Mission. Now I know why San Diego’s pro baseball team is called the Padres. BTW, the greatest Padre to play the game, Tony Gwynn, just passed away. All baseball fans will miss him. Truly a great.

Another day we rode through the architectural masterpieces at Balboa Park. It was here we took in a couple exhibits at the Museum Of Man: Instruments of Torture and BEERology.

We had seen a similar torture museum in the medieval town of Rothenburg, Germany a few years ago. It’s quite interesting to compare methods of torture in the medieval days to what is used today. Makes me want to write a postcard to my Congressman.

And although the BEERolgy exibit fell flat, it may have been well worth the admission price alone for this BIG postcard.

Let’s see…

Dear Compassionate Congressman…

About Woody

The travel bug is contagious. I caught it in 1985 while traveling with Hali on a three month backpacking trip through Western Europe. Having a passion for geography, local history & culture, and with a journal in my back pocket, I hope to share our experiences through this blog – whether traveling the well worn rail, or off the beaten trail.
