It Will Be Different This Time
It’s always different at Catherines. And by different, I mean, you never know what to expect.
One thing is for sure, we have always wanted the kitchen to be “different.” We’ve discussed it for so many years – decades – that I didn’t think a kitchen remodel was ever going to happen. I suppose a remodel is still only a dream… however:
this is definitely a giant step. I’m still pinching myself. The old space, with the amazing memories, broken ovens, and missing drawer pulls, is making way for new life and new energy. No words to express the relief… this has needed to happen for a long time.
Heavy dust is everywhere. Salad tongs would be a long shot to find. There is a maze of boxes in our room.
But we are extremely fortunate, Catherine has the best back-up kitchen. Recently named, and affectionately called, the Ratskeller.
Getting Past the Hors d’oeuvres Stage
There’s a leap from putting together a cheese plate, to actually creating a three course meal in our new Ratskeller. We’re learning. We now create full sized meals, in this small-sized kitchen.
So, we’re celebrating with a few new recipes:Winter Squash is Coming Ravioli, Milesandra’s Anti Aging Cider & Ginger Lemonade, and Podrick’s Impressive Sausage.
Closing this one fast, GOT plans that are keeping us busy today.
