A bit of fanfare this morning at the Southwest gate. Who must have been a bigwig airline exec pulled out the big scissors and cut the celebratory tape.

This was to be the inaugural non-stop flight to San Diego. Then it occurred to me that when when I booked this flight a couple months ago with a DING alert, SWA was offering great fares for this leg.
It’s true they were great fares, not quite FREE, but these big cookies were.

Other than on time departure and early arrival, the flight itself was uneventful. We did have spectacular view of the bluest, deepest lake of its kind~ Crater Lake.
